The first song I ever wrote, back with the first incarnation of my first band. I re-tooled it completely so that I could play it all, so it sounds pretty different from what it used to be.

I can see the dark,
I can see your face,
In this pouring,
Stark infested wasteland.
All I see,
Is a mask of God, glaring down at me.

At least you can fly away,
Leave me here to stay.
And I will follow one day,
I just hope you will stay the same.

I believe in chaos,
I believe in havoc,
I believe in order,
I believe in static laws,
That pass down.
Generations fall,
Society drowns.

I hate the people,
I hate the sword,
I hate the legend,
I hate this world,
That I've created,
Yet still I breathe,
Air impure, diluted,
And cannot leave.

At least you can fly away,
Leave me here to stay.
And I will follow one day,
I just hope you will stay the same.

The people, the sword,

The anger, the hate,

The swollen, the bruised,
The famous, the used,

Those celebrities with all their scenes,

Society's got them in their grip,
And if they fall we make a fit.
